Jeffrey Magee, MD, PhD

Elizabeth H. and James S. McDonnell III Professor of Pediatrics, Hematology & Oncology

Jeffrey Magee is the Elizabeth H. and James S. McDonnell III Professor in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. He has over 15 years of experience in pediatric cancer research. He is an expert on blood forming stem cells, blood development and childhood leukemias. Prior to assuming his current role in the MPCC, Magee directed the Pediatric Leukemia and Lymphoma program at Washington University and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. He has chaired the Scientific Committee on Myeloid Biology for the American Society for Hematology. He is an elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and is a Scholar of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Magee holds grants from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, the National Cancer Institute and private foundations. He has trained several graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. He remains clinically active and attends on the Pediatric Oncology and Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapies services.
